Your ACE practicum candidate plan, prepared for school review

ACE MSN pathways publish 200 total practice hours through a separate 50-hour NUR5043 experience plus a selected 150-hour capstone. We source candidate preceptors or mentors, physical sites, and project concepts for your review and ACE submission.

What the published ACE requirements establish

What current ACE sources establish

Current ACE application material asks applicants to acknowledge access to a local practicum setting. Both MSN pathways publish a separate 50-hour NUR5043 practice experience plus a selected 150-hour capstone. A proposed preceptor or mentor, site, and project still proceed through the applicable organization and ACE review process.

What ACE does not offer

ACE has no nurse practitioner program. There is no FNP, PMHNP, or APRN direct-patient-care track. So this is a nurse-educator or nurse-administrator practicum, an indirect-care field experience with a preceptor or mentor and a project. It is not NP clinical rotations, and we do not present it as such.

What we carry

How we find your ACE preceptor, site, and project

Preceptor, mentor & site matching

We identify a candidate preceptor or mentor and physical site for an ACE education or administration experience. You inspect the match before it proceeds to site and ACE review.

Project scoping & review support

We help scope a project concept around the active course and candidate site. ACE and the organization retain their own decisions, so no approval or academic credit is promised.

How your placement works

Your candidate plan in four parts

We build a candidate plan one part at a time and leave room for the organization's and ACE's review. You pay only when matched.

  1. 1
Candidate preceptor identifiedWe source a potential preceptor or mentor for the education or administration field experience.
  2. 2
Physical site identifiedWe look for a candidate location that fits the track, project, and realistic travel area.
  3. 3
Project concept scopedWe organize a workable concept for the student's, site's, and ACE's review.
  4. 4
Proposal submitted for reviewACE and the organization retain all decisions about the candidate and countable hours.

Miss the practicum and it can stall your MSN completion while your other coursework waits. That is the outcome we exist to prevent.

Practicum requirements

How many practicum hours does the ACE MSN require?

ACE publishes separate 50-hour and 150-hour practice components for both MSN pathways. The selected capstone is 150 hours, not a 200-hour course. These are indirect-care education and administration hours, not nurse practitioner clinical hours.

The practice experiences are indirect care and use a preceptor or mentor, local setting, and course-aligned work. American College of Education's baccalaureate and master's nursing programs are CCNE-accredited. Confirm the active structure directly with ACE.

Pricing

What does ACE practicum placement cost?

We price per placement, and you pay when matched. Our fee covers sourcing a candidate preceptor or mentor, physical site, and project concept for your review and ACE submission. This is indirect-care education or administration placement support, not NP clinical placement.

The timing that matters: candidate outreach and school or site review take time. Starting early gives a preceptor, site, and project proposal more room to move through the required decisions before the target term.

Questions

Good to know before you start

Trusted by nursing students and working nurses.

Does ACE find your practicum preceptor?

Current ACE application material asks applicants to acknowledge access to a local practicum setting. Confirm current support and placement expectations directly with ACE. Our independent service sources candidate preceptors, sites, and projects for the student's review.

How many practicum hours does the ACE MSN require?

Both pathways publish 200 total practice hours through a separate 50-hour NUR5043 practice experience plus a selected 150-hour capstone. Nurse Educator uses NUR5194, and Nurse Administrator uses NUR5094. The capstone itself is not a 200-hour course.

Does ACE have an NP program?

No. American College of Education does not offer any nurse practitioner, FNP, PMHNP, or APRN direct-patient-care program. The reviewed placement targets are the MSN Nurse Educator and Nurse Administrator tracks through RN-to-MSN and BSN-to-MSN pathways. We source candidates for those indirect-care practice experiences, not NP clinical rotations.

Who can precept an ACE nurse-educator student?

A candidate preceptor or mentor is typically an experienced nurse educator or academic or clinical education leader who can supervise the NUR5194 capstone and project. Requirements vary, and ACE retains its review decision.

Are you affiliated with American College of Education?

No. We help you meet ACE's practicum requirements; we do not act for ACE.

How do I find an ACE preceptor?

Start with the track, pathway, city, target term, and active course requirements. We can identify a candidate preceptor or mentor, physical site, and project concept for your review and ACE submission.

Is ACE Preceptor a practicum placement service?

Yes. ACE Preceptor is an independent candidate-sourcing service for American College of Education MSN students. A match remains subject to site and ACE review.

Can you help me find a preceptor near me?

Yes. We search for a candidate preceptor or mentor and physical site in a realistic region, then present the package for your review. ACE and the organization retain their decisions.

How do I get a practicum mentor for my ACE program fast?

Start early and provide the track, pathway, city, term, and current course documents. We can run candidate outreach while you confirm the required site and ACE review steps.

What is the best way to find an ACE preceptor?

Build the preceptor, physical site, and project concept together because each affects the others. Verify every proposed component through current organization and ACE review before beginning hours.

Do you place preceptors for ACE students, or just refer them?

We source a coordinated candidate preceptor or mentor, physical site, and project concept rather than handing over a directory. The student reviews the proposed match before payment, and ACE retains its own decision.
