In short: we collect only what we need to place your practicum, we do not sell your information, and we use it to match you with a preceptor or mentor, a site, and a project. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We are an independent service and are not American College of Education.
What information do you collect?
We collect the details you give us and a small amount of basic technical data. Specifically:
- Information you provide: your name, contact details, ACE program and enrollment details, region, target start date, and any practicum requirements you share when you contact us.
- Placement information: details needed to arrange your practicum, such as preceptor or mentor, site, and project preferences.
- Basic technical data: standard information your browser sends when you visit, such as general log data, used to keep the site working.
We do not ask for information we do not need to place your practicum.
How is my information used?
We use it to place your practicum and to communicate with you about it. That includes assessing your situation, matching you with a preceptor or mentor, an approved site, and a workable project, confirming your price within the $1,500 to $2,500 range, and answering your questions.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build profiles for unrelated marketing. If we ever want to use your feedback publicly, such as a review, we ask first and only publish with your permission.
Do you share my information with anyone?
Only as needed to arrange your placement or as required by law. To secure your practicum, we may share necessary details with a prospective preceptor, mentor, or site so a match can be made. We share the minimum required for that purpose.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers. We are not American College of Education and do not share your information with ACE except where you direct us to or where your placement genuinely requires it.
How do you protect and keep my information?
We use reasonable safeguards and keep your information only as long as we need it. We take practical measures to protect the details you share and limit access to those who need it to do the placement work. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet legal or record-keeping obligations, after which we take steps to remove or de-identify it.
What choices and rights do I have?
You can ask what we hold, request corrections, and ask us to delete your information. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also decline to provide certain details, though this may limit our ability to place your practicum.
If we update this policy, the current version will always be posted on this page. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
