Placement costs $1,500 to $2,500 per placement. That is the full range, and where a given placement lands within it depends on the specifics of your track, location, and project needs.
The fee covers a complete placement, which means all three required components delivered together:
- A qualified preceptor or mentor candidate for the track
- A physical candidate site where the work could happen
- A workable project concept tied to current course outcomes
This price is for placement of the education or administration practicum that ACE's MSN Nurse Educator and Nurse Administrator tracks require. It is not for a nurse practitioner rotation or clinical patient care, because ACE does not offer those.
When do I pay?
You pay when you are matched, not before. There is no upfront charge to start the search, which keeps the risk on us rather than on you.
This pay-when-matched structure ties the fee to a candidate preceptor, site, and project package that you can inspect before submitting it for ACE review. A match does not promise school or site approval.
Why does the practicum cost anything at all?
It costs money because candidate research, outreach, screening, and coordination take sustained work. The fee pays for that sourcing process and the preparation of a preceptor, site, and project package.
A student searching independently may spend weeks on outreach to preceptors who decline, sites that cannot host them, or projects that do not fit the course. The fee pays for a coordinated package for the student's and ACE's review.
